The Book for Your Last Two Days Before the PMP: PMP Final-Week Cram Book (Word)
Two days out, I reviewed only my error log and the Mindset. This is what I wanted then: 56 keyword patterns, a 1-minute checklist and 10 practice questions.
As I wrote in Pass Review Part 2, I stopped adding new material two days before the exam. I didn't reread the book from the start either. I went over just two things: my error log and the Mindset.
One thing was missing in those two days. My error log only held questions I'd already gotten wrong, so the traps I hadn't fallen into yet weren't in it. I wished I had a book I could skim right before the exam that said "when you see this word, go this way." This cram book is that book.
In three lines — I put 56 keyword patterns into tables, each narrowing the answer the moment you read the question. The book also has 7 instant rules, a 1-minute decision checklist, 12 trap phrases and 10 four-option practice questions. Word files in four languages, $8.99.
What a keyword pattern looks like
Each pattern has four columns: the keyword in the question, the instant answer, the wrong options to avoid, and a one-line takeaway.
| Keyword | Instant answer | Wrong options to avoid | One-line takeaway |
|---|---|---|---|
| Team conflict | Talk directly with the people involved and resolve it together | Ignoring or avoiding it, replacing a team member, escalating right away | Solve conflict inside the team first |
| Baseline change | Impact analysis → change request → change control | Applying it right away, going ahead without documentation | Baseline changes go through formal control |
| The user story is too big | Split it and refine the backlog | Putting it into one sprint as is | Big stories get split |
The patterns fall into three groups: 15 on people and communication, 20 on process and analysis, and 21 on agile, contracts and the business environment. After the 2026 change, business environment (governance, compliance, organizational change, the external environment) went from 8% to 26% of the exam, so those patterns have their own section.
What to check before matching keywords
The patterns aren't an answer key to memorize. That's why the front of the book starts with a decision order.
- Tag the approach first. Is it predictive, agile or hybrid? Mixing these up was one of the mistakes I kept making.
- Look at the question verb. First, Next or Best can change the answer to the same situation.
- Ask whether it's a risk or an issue, and whether the baseline changes.
- If ethics, safety or compliance is involved, that comes before any keyword.
This order is laid out on a page each as an 8-step 1-minute decision checklist and a decision flowchart. The book also shows how to apply M.O.R.E. (manage perceptions, own project success, relentlessly reassess, expand perspective), the project success mindset PMI introduced in 2025, to exam questions.
10 practice questions
The practice questions at the back aren't real exam questions. They're new four-option questions I wrote so you can apply the patterns to actual question text. They cover situations like a request that arrives mid-sprint, a supplier delay that hasn't happened yet, a defect that has come back three times, a new regulation and a recommendation from an AI tool. The answers and explanations are on separate pages, so you can work them first and check after.

Goes well with
I made this book to be used with Jayden's PMP Cheat Sheets in the final week. If the structure is still fuzzy, start with PMBOK 8 Study Notes for the PMP, and for the right move behind each term, the PMP Master Vocabulary. The 7-week calendar that uses all four books is in Jayden's PMP Kit.
Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to use it?
I'd start on the patterns two weeks before the exam, then spend the last two days on only the 7 instant rules and the final memory cards. In the 7-week plan, this book comes in from week 5.
Are the practice questions from the real exam?
No. PMP exam questions aren't released. These are new questions written so you can practice applying the patterns.
What format is it, and how do I get it?
Word (.docx) files in four languages. After you pay on Gumroad, you can download them right away, and the link is also emailed to you.
