A 7-Week PMP Study Plan You Can Follow Day by Day: Jayden's PMP Kit

The order I followed to prepare for the PMP in 7 weeks, rebuilt as a day-by-day calendar around four books. The four-book kit is $24.99 instead of $31.96.

I passed the PMP on July 3, 2026. I prepared for about 7 weeks, and my Study Hall Full Mock scores were 66% and 65%. It wasn't a high-scoring pass. But over those 7 weeks, I learned firsthand what to do and in what order.

The whole time, I kept thinking the same thing: if I'd had the right materials from the start, I'd have wasted far less time. A word list with the right move, not just the definition. Notes that showed the structure of the 8th edition on one page. A cram book for the last two days. Sheets that put the formulas and tables in one place. After I passed, I made those four myself, with everything I built up while studying and everything I learned from getting things wrong.

This post introduces the four as one kit and gives you a day-by-day calendar that rebuilds my 7 weeks around them.

In three lines — Jayden's PMP Kit is four books: a vocabulary, study notes, a cram book and cheat sheets. The 7-week calendar below fits them into the order I actually prepared in (course → Study Hall → Full Mock → error log). Bought separately, the four come to $31.96. The kit is $24.99.

What each book does

BookWhat it doesWhenPrice
PMP Master VocabularyThe right move and the trap answer for each termWeeks 1–6, 5 minutes a day$5.99
PMBOK 8 Study Notes for the PMPA map of the principles, domains and processesWeeks 1–5$9.99
PMP Final-Week Cram BookKeyword patterns and a decision orderWeeks 5–7$8.99
Jayden's PMP Cheat SheetsFormulas, tables and rules, one page eachWeeks 2–7$6.99

I made the four books to fit together, with the same terms and the same basis (PMBOKPMBOKProject Management Body of Knowledge: A collection of processes, best practices, terminologies, and guidelines compiled by the PMI.Read More → 8 and the 2026 ECO). The domain chapters in the study notes list vocabulary card numbers, and the cram book's decision order and the cheat sheets' "How to pick the right answer" sheet use the same Mindset.

The method behind the plan: four principles

Before the calendar, here are the four principles to stick to for the 7 weeks. I did all of them myself.

  1. Cut down the days you don't study. I'm not someone who can sit for hours after work. Instead of hitting a daily quota, I focused on having no days where I didn't look at the PMP at all. So weekdays are short, and weekends are for questions and review.
  2. Recall instead of rereading. Cover the meaning on a vocabulary card and say it. Cover a box on a cheat sheet and say it. Pulling something from memory sticks longer than reading it again.
  3. Log every miss by its reason. Did you not know the concept, misread the question, or pick an action that was too strong? How to keep an error log, with a free template, is in Part 6.
  4. The last two days are error log and Mindset only. Don't add anything new right before the exam. That's what I did, and it helped the most.

The 7-week calendar

I planned around 30 to 60 minutes on weekdays and 1 to 3 hours on weekends. Any course is fine. I used an online course for the big picture and PMI Study Hall for questions. If your exam isn't on a Sunday, just pull the last week forward to match your exam date.

Why you can trust it, and an honest note

This calendar comes from the order I actually followed. First a course for the big picture, then Study Hall to learn how PMI judges, then Full Mocks to test my exam instincts, and finally my error log to finish. Into that flow, I slotted the four books I wished I'd had at the time.

Still, this plan doesn't promise a pass. Everyone starts from a different place with different amounts of time, and the PMP isn't written from any one book. If you fall behind on the calendar, catch up on the weekend or add a week. What matters is not having days where you take a complete break from the PMP.

Frequently asked questions

Is the kit the same as the individual books?

Yes. The kit includes all 16 Word files for the four books (4 books × Korean, English, Spanish and Japanese) plus the 172-term PDF word list. Bought separately they come to $31.96; the kit is $24.99.

What if I have less than 7 weeks?

I'd compress weeks 1–4 around the study notes and vocabulary, and keep weeks 5–7 (Full Mocks, the cram book, the cheat sheets and the last two days of error log) as they are. Try not to cut the time you spend doing questions and working out why you missed them.

Do I really need a course and Study Hall?

You need 35 hours of project management education to apply (waived if you hold an active CAPM). For questions, I used only PMI Study Hall Essentials. This kit doesn't replace a course or a question bank; it's the material that connects them.

Do I get it right after paying?

Yes. Once checkout on Gumroad is done, the download page opens right away, and the same link is emailed to you.
